Redcliff Family Dental Centre is committed to building long-term relationships between our staff, patients, and the community of Redcliff and area. We strive to provide consumer-friendly dental services the whole family can value and afford in a happy, safe environment.

Each patient deserves our focused attention and best efforts to make the experience one that stands far above the norm.

A comprehensive approach to dental care is the foundation of our practice.  Our goal is to maintain a quality and service-oriented practice that offers prevention, aesthetic smile enhancement, and function.

We love our technology at Redcliff Family Dental Centre. We are happy to offer our patients same day crowns, digital x-rays and digital impressions that eliminates the need for dental impressions. 


Dr. Abdel Bendary, DDS

Dr. Bendary loves working with children and putting a smile on his patient’s faces. He graduated from the University of Toronto Faculty of Dentistry, receiving his DDS in 2018. He continues his dental education by attending continuing education programs to keep his skills current.

Dr. Bendary joined Redcliff Family Dental Centre shortly after graduation. He was attracted to Medicine Hat because he wanted to raise his family in a quiet, peaceful city and loved the local scenery and the sunny weather.

Dr. Bendary enjoys spending time with his wife and three children outside the office. He loves working out, hiking and being outdoors.


Dr. Ruichen Shang, DDS


Dr. Shang graduated from the University of Toronto Faculty of Dentistry in 2022. He then completed a one-year General Practice Residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in the heart of Toronto.

Raised in Calgary, Dr. Shang returned to Alberta to work closer to home, where he joined Redcliff Family Dental Centre.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Shang enjoys working out and playing tennis. His golf skills, though, are a work in progress.


Dr. Ahmed Heider, DDS

Dr. A. Heider received his first dental degree, Bachelor of Dental Surgery with Honours, in 1994 from Cairo University Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine. He was appointed to the Department of Orthodontics where he completed a 3-year specialty training in addition to a Master’s and Doctor’s Degrees in Orthodontics. He worked as an Associate Professor of Orthodontics, Cairo University till 2015. Dr. Heider has special interest in research and has publications in internationally recognized orthodontic journals. In 2018, he received his second dental degree, Doctor of Dental Surgery, with Honours from the University of Toronto Faculty of Dentistry and was awarded 5 Awards of Excellence in various dental disciplines. Dr. Heider is a registered general dentist in Alberta and works hard to keep his skills current through continuing education programs and self-directed study.

Outside the office, Dr. Heider enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. They love hiking, fishing and swimming.

 



Dr. Mona Attia, DDS

Dr. Attia graduated from Cairo University with a Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree in 1995, followed by a Master’s in addition to a PhD and post-doctoral studies in Egypt. She has been practicing dentistry since 1995. Dr. Attia is trilingual and fluent in English, French, and Arabic. In 2012, Dr. Attia immigrated to Canada with her family, and through years of hard work, she successfully obtained a Canadian license to practice dentistry from the National Dental Exam Board. She practiced as a General Dentist in Toronto and even instructed at the University of Toronto for two years. Currently, she is a member of the Canadian and Alberta Dental Associations since August 2019.
 
Moreover, she is attending courses in Continuing Education to further her knowledge and to remain current with new and emerging advanced dental techniques and materials. Specifically, she has a passionate interest in the esthetic and restorative procedures.
 
She treats her patients of all ages, striving to provide the best oral and dental comprehensive help and care. Dr. Attia enjoys travelling and spending time with her husband and two children, their pets, and friends.


Kari, RDH

Kari is originally from Moose Jaw, Sask. She graduated with a degree in Dental Hygiene from SIAST Wascana in 2004. She loves working with children and anxious clients. She is certified in Nitrous Oxide administration.

Kari enjoys spending time with her husband and two young children. They are an extremely active family and travel regularly to the mountains for downhill biking and snowboarding. They also enjoy zip lining, river rafting, and basically anything to do with the outdoors.


Leisa, RDH

Leisa grew up in a small town of Saskatchewan, but has lived in Medicine Hat for many years now. In 2004, Leisa graduated with honours from the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Manitoba with her Diploma in Dental Hygiene. Leisa also holds certificates in Clinical Restorative Techniques, Local Anaesthesia and Orthodontics for Dental Hygienists from U of M. Leisa feels a great desire to work with anxious patients and is dedicated to helping them erase their fears by building trust and providing them with gentle care. Leisa is extremely family orientated and enjoys spending time with her husband, two active children and their two dogs. She is an active member of the community and enjoys being involved in school council, dental study clubs, and her children’s various sports/activities. In her spare time, Leisa enjoys working in her garden, doing freelance graphic design and crafting.


Olivia, RDH

Olivia joined our office in 2017 after working for many years at River Dental in Medicine Hat. Born and raised in Medicine Hat, it’s been a dream to be working in her hometown providing patients with exceptional Dental Hygiene care. Olivia attended Medicine Hat College for 2 years and then Camosun College (Victoria, BC) for 2 years. Olivia is a friendly, outgoing people person whose greatest goal is changing the minds of those fearful of the dentist, and making a difference in their lives, one tooth at a time! She especially enjoys working with patients that have severe Periodontal Disease. She is highly educated in laser therapy and certified to give Local Anesthetic.

Outside of work, Olivia is a busy mom who is actively keeping up with her children’s sports and activities- football, baseball, badminton, basketball, softball and art classes. She enjoys being with her family and going camping and snowboarding. Her other passions include: furniture restoration, interior design, carpentry, sewing, running, playing soccer, her two doodles and exercise.


Taylor, RDH

Taylor was born in Calgary, Alberta and shortly after moved to Medicine Hat. She graduated with her Bachelor of Science Specialization in Dental Hygiene in 2023 from the University of Alberta. After graduating, she moved back to her hometown, Medicine Hat and began her career as a dental hygienist. Taylor is certified in local anesthetic and prescribing Schedule One drugs.  Taylor loves working with all people and strives to build relationships while creating positive experiences for every individual. In her free time, she loves to read, bake, travel and spend time outdoors, whether skiing or hiking.


Samantha, RDH

Samantha grew up in both Calgary and Medicine Hat. She graduated from Medix College in Kitchener, Ontario in 2011 with her degree in Dental Hygiene. After graduation, she returned to Alberta and started her career at a dental office in Brooks, AB.

Samantha is very active and loves to be outdoors. She enjoys walking her two adopted dogs in the park, spending her summer vacations on houseboats, and wintertime skiing. She also enjoys spending time with her her family. Samantha has two adorable children that keep her busy. 

A big kid at heart, Samantha has quite the large collection of minions. If you don’t know what a minion is, ask her and she will be happy to tell you.


Kaila, RDH

Kaila graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Hygiene in 2010 from Dalhousie University. She loved her time on the East Coast and fell in love with what seafood should taste like.  But for her, Alberta will always be home! She moved back to her hometown of Airdrie and practiced there for 12 years until she made the move to Medicine Hat a couple of years ago. When Kaila is not working, she loves spending time outdoors, whether walking with her family and friends, reading a book in the sun, or spending time at her trailer.  She looks forward to getting to know all the families at Redcliff Dental.
